Distribution Technician
Location:
Greensburg, PA (hybrid role) Pay: $60.00/hr, W2
- Contract Duration: 24 Month Contract - Possible Contract to hire
- Work Arrangement: Onsite, some remote flex
- Provide dedicated support for Long-Term Infrastructure Improvement Plan (LTIIP) projects
- Ensure timely execution of critical infrastructure initiatives by managing materials, coordinating engineering and commissioning activities
- Maintain accurate data and support project tracking
- Fully charged to LTIIP budgets, playing a key role in mitigating operational risks caused by staffing attrition and increased workload
- Review and verify material lists for accuracy
- Monitor delivery schedules and incoming shipments
- Notify crews and leadership of delays or issues
- Coordinate emergent material needs with local DTs
- Track engineering prints and project development
- Coordinate commissioning with external resources
- Alert leadership to engineering or commissioning delays
- Maintain accurate equipment records in Cascade
- Ensure correct data for nameplates, triggers, serial numbers, and service dates
- Update tracking sheets for material and engineering delivery
- Support future project planning including Cascade orders and RPAs
- Assist external crews with local coordination
- Contribute to long-term project development
- Experience in substation operations or related technical field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with material management
- Familiarity with engineering processes
- Proficiency in data entry and systems such as Cascade
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Operational Continuity:
Prevent disruption due to staff attrition - Project Efficiency:
Ensure LTIIP projects are executed on schedule - Cost Allocation:
Fully charged to LTIIP, minimizing impact on other budgets - Scalability:
