CAD Designer / Product Drafter

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a CAD Designer / Product Drafter for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is onsite and will support product design, documentation, and production drawing needs in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience creating technical drawings, working with 3D modeling software, and supporting product documentation from initial design through production release. This is a strong opportunity for someone with CAD experience who enjoys working closely with engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assembly and component drawings for sales orders, customer inquiries, and new product development using PTC Creo software
• Maintain product configurations, generate bills of material, and load component and assembly data into the ERP system
• Prepare production and submittal packages for internal and external use, including 2D and 3D electronic files, special tagging, notations, and printed documentation
• Complete drawing revisions and modifications, including related updates within the ERP system
• Work with assembly, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to help resolve drawing, production, or documentation issues
• Support department procedures and assist with CAD-related training for new team members as needed

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred
• 2+ years of experience in CAD design, drafting, or product evaluation testing
• 3D modeling experience preferred
• Experience creating and modifying technical drawings, schematics, assemblies, and component documentation
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate design and ERP documentation
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
