Independence Health System - - Responsibilities:
Perform administrative and secretarial functions in direct support of the Physician Practice.;
Schedule patients for appointments and procedures, process referrals and authorizations, and manage patient flow.;
Enter patient information and code visits in the billing system, identify coding discrepancies, and maximize reimbursement.;
Collect payments at time of visit and manage cash sheets; help control costs.;
Act as patient advocate and serve as a preceptor/mentor to new hires, while supporting regulatory survey readiness.
