Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) shifts available.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to maternal and neonatal health.
Responsibilities:
- Administer care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, responding to any abnormalities.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.
- Educate families on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
- Implement and support breastfeeding initiatives and infant care protocols.
- Document patient information accurately using the Cerner charting system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have a valid RN license in Pennsylvania or a Compact license.
- Two years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
- Current certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP.
- Experience with Cerner charting system required.
- Flu vaccine required - exemptions permitted for medical or religious reasons.
