American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift position requiring ICU critical care experience and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications.
Details- Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Cares for critically ill patients including cardiovascular, medical, and surgical ICU populations
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30
- Cerner charting system preferred
- Floating required within the hospital and may include sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
- Active PA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial line management, blood product administration, and ventilator management
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, and ABG interpretation
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Experience with renal replacement therapy (CRRT/CVVHD) preferred
- Experience with cardiovascular procedures such as CABG, TAVR, IABP, Impella, or ECMO preferred
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years preferred
- Provide critical care nursing to patients with complex cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological conditions
- Must be available to work every other holiday
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
- Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
- Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
- First-time travelers are not considered for this role
