Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day; responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
  • Finish product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
  • Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
  • Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
  • Record all related sales on assigned cash registers, including scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
  • Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and in reverse logistics such as returns and empty packages.
  • Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts, on-hand quantities including basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
  • Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed with team members.
  • Responsible for basic department pricing and making daily price changes; ensure proper signage for accurate pricing and local regulations compliance.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as necessary.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition; request repairs as needed or on manager absence.
  • Assist with separation of food items and product placement, using first-in-first-out for consumables.
  • Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
  • Assist at the pharmacy out window as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (alcoholic beverages, tobacco).
  • Check bag for team members before leaving the store.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
  • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by the manager.
  • Serve as a liaison between management and non-management team members by communicating assigned tasks when store management is not present.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
  • Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
