VALUE STREAM MANAGER

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).

Job Summary
  • Lead manufacturing of value stream process, including all aspects of safety performance, product quality and quantity, personnel management and discipline, training, budgeting, cost control/reduction and continuous improvement utilizing the COS tools.
  • Responsible for developing a strong team environment with clear and effective communications.
  • Serve as a key interface with a variety of support personnel including Plant Dept. Managers, other Value Stream associates across the company, R&D, Purchasing, Maintenance, Engineering, Technical Services, Scheduling, Sales, Customer Service, HR, and Logistics.
  • Supervisory responsibilities of 6 direct reports and approx. 150 indirect reports
  • Expected hours of work around 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with coverage required across shifts of responsibilities. Cadence representation on midnight shift is required. Hours are to be flexed to address value stream requirements.
  • Travel requirements of less than 10% annually
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Develop a manufacturing team to provide exceptional customer service at the lowest possible cost while maintaining a safe work environment. Specific duties include management of employee development/training, plant scheduling, recruiting/terminations, customer contact, root cause analysis, financial tracking, safety implementation, supplier evaluation, and process improvement.
  • Oversight and leadership of the Lean Manufacturing journey in the plant. This includes leveraging the Carlisle Operating System (COS) to drive daily, incremental improvement in all aspects of the site. Additionally, strong emphasis on employee engagement, capacity improvement, visual management, and advanced manufacturing techniques are required for success in this role.
  • Creating an environment for success among supervisory and production employees. It is pertinent that the Operations Manager convey an attitude that is positive and confident; coach their staff to achieve their highest level of performance while treating them with respect and dignity.
  • Coach and develop supervisors and team leaders in their managerial skills to align with overall company goals.
  • Collaborate and interact with cross functional departments and at various levels within the organization to achieve facility and company goals.
