Job Summary

Under a supervisor’s direction, perform a wide variety of tasks to maintain safety, production, facility, and all related equipment. The primary goal is to minimize equipment downtime using preventive and predictive maintenance methods while maintaining safety and quality.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow safe practices and perform safety verifications/checklists.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Execute scheduled work orders.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems.
  • Create, update, and complete work orders in the CMMS system.
  • Log time and details of work completed in the CMMS system.
  • Communicate orally and in writing with shift-to-shift handoffs.
  • Complete Standard Start tasks and coordinate with Production personnel.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate with contracted services for vehicle, forklift, and other powered equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate with contracted services for HVAC, MAU, or chiller issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of fire systems including preventive maintenance, procedures, and policies.
  • Perform roof repairs as needed.
  • Understand basics of compressor and boiler operations.
  • Assist other technicians when possible and cover their areas when needed.
  • Complete required training programs and refresher programs.
Working Conditions

Activities occur both inside and outside the manufacturing facilities, distribution warehouse, and grounds. Exposure to temperatures above 110 °F in summer and sub‑zero temperatures in winter is possible. Airborne mica dust may create an uncomfortable environment.

Time Worked

Core hours are as follows, with additional hours as required to cover plant needs.

  • Weekday shifts: 2‑week rotating days/evening (6:30 AM‑3:00 PM; 2:30 PM‑11:00 PM) -- OR -- fixed midnights (10:30 PM‑7:00 AM)
  • Saturday and/or Sunday shifts as required.
