Electrician

Job Summary

Completes electrical maintenance functions throughout the hospital and Facilities’ supported areas.

• Performs general electrical repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on electrical systems, motors, emergency generators, and other electromechanical equipment.
• Responds as assigned to emergency codes and procedures.
• Uses various tools associated with electrical maintenance including hand and power tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Works on other maintenance related tasks as the needs of the department require.

• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Works under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience
:
No experience required.

Education
:
High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire.

Licensure/Certification
:
Electrician – Journeyman or Master Electrician’s license in the state of Kentucky required upon hire.
