About the Unit

Our Rehabilitation and Nursing Center offers short‑term rehabilitation after surgery, serious injury, or illness. We help patients with a range of medical needs, including neuro‑recovery, stroke and brain injury treatment, elective total joint or complex orthopedic surgery, reconditioning following severe illness, post‑cardiac care, and general rehabilitation needs.

Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical‑thinking model of the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds standards of professional performance including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.

Strives to achieve optimal outcomes for patients.

• Registered Nurse (RN) required:
  Associate’s in Nursing, Michigan RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire or LPN required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required:
  High School Diploma or equivalent, Michigan license, BLS within 90 days.
• Experience with rehabilitation and post‑acute care preferred.
