Job Summary
As a member of the nursing team with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. You'll be responsible for the care of our patients according to their individual plans, unit routines, and hospital policies. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
EssentialFunctions
- Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Unit Manager or Licensed Nurse, consistent with policies and procedures of the unit.
- Responsible for direct day-to-day care of assigned residents/patients including dressing, bathing, transporting and feeding.
- Documents care provided as directed in a manner consistent with guidelines.
- Maintains patients’ environment/work area/equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel.
- Complete and maintain required number of CNA educational hours.
- Participation in select unit quality monitoring activities under the direction of the Unit Manager or Nurse Leader.
- Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk‑mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- State of Michigan approved CNA Training Course.
- Driver’s License within the State of Michigan.
- CRT – Nursing Assistant – Michigan Department of Licensing & Regulatory Affairs, Bureau of Community and Health Systems upon hire.
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross.
- Corewell Health Continuing Care (except Hospice), including Regional Rehab and Nursing Centers, Lakeland Continuing Care, Caring Circle Hospice 90 Days.
