Job Summary / PurposeDevelops long range outage plans and budgets, executes planned outages and large capital projects, manages the Condition Based Outage process, Boiler Tube Failure Reduction process, Outage Stage Gate Process, Risk Register and the 5 year budget plan and project management as needed and assigned.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Oversees long range and detailed planning and execution of unit outages according to the outage stage gate process
- Manages cost, schedule and safety processes for outage scopes of work
- Interfaces with Plant Management personnel to communicate and drive to resolution of key issues impacting safety, projects, and outage
- Coaches project managers as necessary to deliver expected financial, safety and schedule results on outage scopes, projects, Outage Stage Gate Reviews, ECD/CBO and 5 year budget planning
- Oversees and manages contracts
- Lead and/or participate in change management
- Serve as Backup NERC Champion
- Participate in community events and safety initiatives
- Serve on cross functional teams to promote improvement and company initiatives
- Participate in and lead plant monthly ROP meetings
- Understands, negotiates, and influences contract language for vendors / contractors to protect Entergy's best interest
- Minimum education required of the position:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or in related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum Experience Required Of The Position
- Must have 5 years of Power Plant Maintenance related experience
- Must have 2 years of demonstrated experience in a Project Management leadership role

Skills And Abilities
Required Of The Position- Power plant major component repair; AIMM; ROP, OSGP, Risk Register, Supply Chain and Accounting policies and procedures
- EH&S policy knowledge;
Compliance standards, especially Sarbanes-Oxley - Knowledge of industry standards related to modification of plant components and engineering standards
- Condition Based Outage process requirements
- Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project
- ASME codes applicable to large power boilers and steam piping
This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.
