Surveillance Operator

JOB SUMMARY

Sits in surveillance room and observes action in the casino, count room areas, restaurants, hotel common areas, entertainment complex and any other public areas of the property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Arrives sufficiently early for briefing;

* Checks equipment functions on a regular basis;
Maintain daily shift log;

* Notifies supervisor of suspicious activity or procedure violations;

* Observes all areas of casino, hotel and public areas for procedural infractions and criminal activity;

* Knows all gaming procedures, slot, etc.;

* Detects, document and record suspect activities within the casino, casino cage, slots, and count room areas; as well as archive footage pertain to casino incidents.

* Maintains familiarity with Mississippi Gaming Commission rules and regulations, Internal Controls, company policies and procedures;

* Performs close watch as assigned;

* Handles other duties as required;

* Maintains a low profile in all areas of the casino;

* Avoids over-familiarity with casino personnel.

* Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties. Must have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years' experience in surveillance with knowledge of CCTV systems. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service;

The work environment consists of very demanding surroundings with a low noise level, while in the Surveillance Room.
