Full-Time Activities Assistant — Memory Care Unit
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activities Assistant to join our Memory Care team. This role is perfect for someone who has a heart for working with seniors and a passion for creating meaningful moments for individuals living with memory loss.
The Activities Assistant helps plan and lead engaging programs that support residents’ emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being. Every day is an opportunity to bring joy, comfort, and connection to our residents.
Responsibilities- Assisting with planning and implementing daily activity programs
- Leading small group and one-on-one engagement activities
- Encouraging resident participation in a supportive, respectful manner
- Creating a positive, stimulating environment for memory care residents
- Assisting with special events and celebrations
- Supporting residents’ individual interests and abilities
- Must be willing to work every other weekend
- Compassion and patience when working with seniors, especially those with dementia
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Experience in activities, caregiving, or senior living preferred (but not required)
