TJT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic trust, estate, and gift tax team in a full-time capacity. In this essential role, you will leverage your extensive experience in trust, estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax return preparation to deliver exceptional service to high-net-worth individuals and family groups. As a Senior Associate, you will operate as a trusted advisor, collaborating closely with firm leadership and clients to drive success and contribute to TJT’s continued growth and reputation for excellence.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A minimum of three years of public accounting experience, with a strong concentration in trust, estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax return preparation.
- Significant experience preparing fiduciary returns and individual income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Proficiency with CCH Axcess Tax and Engagement trial balance software.
- Excellent communication skills for building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Proven ability to advise clients in the private client sector, particularly those with complex financial needs.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or active pursuit of CPA licensure.
- Advanced technical tax expertise and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, including the interpretation of complex financial statements.
- Prepare trust, estate, gift, fiduciary, and individual income tax returns for high-net-worth clients and families.
- Collaborate with firm leadership and peers to address complex tax issues and deliver client-focused solutions.
- Stay current with evolving tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and optimal outcomes for clients.
- Provide guidance to clients regarding trust, estate, and gift tax matters.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and mentor junior staff as needed.
