Job Description

ECU Department of ITCS is currently seeking several Website Editors.

The Website Editor will complete assigned website support tickets and help improve the quality, usability, and accessibility of university websites and online documents. This position provides hands‑on experience with web best practices, accessibility, search engine optimization ( SEO ), answer engine optimization ( AEO ), and document remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Work on assigned website tickets and document completed updates.
  • Review and update webpages for accessibility, usability, content quality, SEO , and AEO .
  • Identify and correct issues involving headings, links, images, tables, forms, metadata, and page structure.
  • Audit and remediate PDFs, Word documents, and PowerPoint files to meet WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
  • Use accessibility testing tools and follow established procedures and style guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate progress or questions to the supervisor.

GPA Requirement

GPA Requirement Minimum of 2.0
