Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
- Academic Affairs, led by the Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, comprises the university's colleges, schools and libraries, along with other academic support and administrative units. Academic Affairs works collaboratively to strengthen ECU's culture of academic excellence in line with our mission to be a national model for student success, public service and regional transformation. The mission of the College of Education is to prepare and develop professionals in vocational teacher education and information/office education through effective teaching, the dissemination of knowledge, generation and application of research, and service to the educational business communities.

Primary Purpose of Position
- The Director of Executive Administrative Services, Operations, and Events provides senior-level leadership for the College of Education's Executive Office. Reporting directly to the Dean, the Director leads the executive administrative infrastructure supporting the Dean, Associate Deans, and other senior college leadership. This position is responsible for the strategic oversight and coordination of executive administrative operations, college-wide event planning, and key operational functions.
The Director ensures the effective delivery of high-level administrative support through supervision of executive administrative staff and establishes standards for accuracy, responsiveness, confidentiality, and service excellence.
