• Deliver competitive cost estimates on new bids and review the progress of existing bids to ensure completion.
• Have broad experience and a thorough understanding of heavy civil construction estimating.
• Be a self‑starter.
• Develop major estimates with little supervision.
• Meet critical deadlines and lead/mentor others in a positive team environment.

• Conduct initial analysis of drawings and specifications to ensure required documentation is present and determine scope of work.
• Develop full‑scope estimates based on Bid‑Build, Design‑Build or CM/GC construction documents.
• Critically analyze bid documents, understand risk and opportunities, and articulate those to management.
• Organize the bid team, providing leadership and direction regarding means and methods, schedule, and strategy.
• Provide detailed quantity take‑off of specific trades when required.

• Minimum of 10 to 15 years of prior civil estimating experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software or equivalent program for Civil Estimating.
• Proficiency with Agtek takeoff software preferred.
• Previous experience working in the field is a strong plus.
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred.
