Role Description We're looking for a Mid to Senior Level Building Enclosure Consultant to join our Raleigh team. You'll work directly with architects, developers, and contractors across the Southeast on new construction and existing-building projects — moving between design review, construction-phase field observation, and diagnostic investigation of building enclosure systems. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role.

• Review architectural and develop building enclosure details for facade and waterproofing/roofing assemblies
• Perform construction‑phase field observations, water testing (ASTM), and mock‑up reviews at job sites across the region
• Investigate and diagnose existing building enclosure performance issues — water infiltration, air leakage, thermal, and material failures — and write clear reports with repair recommendations
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and contractor RFIs for code and design‑intent compliance
• Coordinate directly with architects, owners, general contractors, and subcontractors as the enclosure subject‑matter expert on your projects
• Support proposal writing and business development within the Raleigh/Southeast market
• Mentor junior consultants and technicians, and provide QA/QC peer review on others’ work

• Strong foundation in Construction practices related to building envelopes, facades, roofing, and waterproofing.
• Experience with on‑site Inspection of building enclosure systems, including documenting conditions and preparing field reports.
• Skills in Project Planning, including organizing tasks, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and managing timelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and industry best practices for building enclosures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and technical drawings; familiarity with design and drafting software is beneficial.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work safely on active construction sites and travel locally within the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area as project needs require.

• IIBEC credentials such as RRC, RRO, RBEC, or CDT, or willingness to pursue them
• Infrared thermography certification
• Experience with high‑rise or large‑scale commercial projects
• 10+ years of experience for candidates targeting the senior end of the range
• Professional licensure (PE or RA), or actively pursuing licensure
