ECU Health and Acadia Healthcare have announced plans to build a state of the art, 144-bed behavioral health facility that will open in the spring of 2025. The new facility will include 24 inpatient beds dedicated to the mental health needs of children and adolescents.

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University and ECU Health Physicians seek a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor/Clinical Assistant Professor, Associate Professor/Clinical Associate Professor, or Professor/Clinical Professor. New graduates and visa candidates are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will work in university and community-based settings and provide direct clinical care both face-to-face and via telepsychiatry, including outpatient child psychiatry, community health centers, pediatric practice consultations, juvenile justice teams, resident supervision and inpatient care.

Minimum Education/Experience

• MD or DO from an accredited program, or foreign medical education recognized for ECFMG Certification.
• Completion of accredited child and adolescent residency
• Board certified in general psychiatry and adolescent psychiatry
• Eligible to obtain a license to practice medicine in North Carolina
