ECU Health Physicians and The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine, are seeking fellowship trained BE/BC Adult Psychiatrists to serve as the Medical Director of their Consultation-Liaison Service. The successful candidate will provide inpatient care at the new ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital and at nearby ECU Health Medical Center. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome to apply.

The new ECU Health Behavioral Health Hospital, a 144-bed behavioral health facility, will open in the fall of 2025.

• Academic appointment with the Department of Behavioral Health and Psychiatry at East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine

• Typical day starts at 8 am and ends at 5 pm (M-F) primarily inpatient

• Provider supervises residents and/or may provide consultation services at ECU Health Medical Center and the Emergency Department.

• Physician will have oversight to up to 2 residents on the unit with a capacity maximum of 24 beds

• On call is phone only nights and weekends

• Referral network includes 29 county service area with a population of 1.4 million people
