The College of Business (COB) has been AACSB accredited for over 40 years. We offer BSBA, MBA, and MSA degrees and our School of Hospitality Management offers both a BS in Hospitality Management and an MS in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality. Additionally, the Miller School of Entrepreneurship offers a BS in Entrepreneurship. We are one of the largest Colleges of Business in the state with approximately 4,200 undergraduate and 900 graduate students.
To date, the COB has approximately 150 faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge. A strategic goal of the college is to create an environment where the faculty, staff, and students can thrive and be personally and professionally respected.
The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management within the College of Business is a large, dynamic academic unit comprised of faculty engaged in teaching, scholarship, and service. The department serves more than 900 undergraduate majors, includes over 20 faculty members, and offers degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The department seeks to attract faculty of the highest caliber skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching and application of knowledge.
Job DutiesThe Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, in the College of Business at East Carolina University, invites applications for a nine‑month, tenure‑track position in the area of Marketing at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor beginning August 2026. The position will have instructional responsibilities teaching courses relevant to digital marketing, data analytics, marketing research, or related areas. A standard teaching load is nine semester hours (three classes).
Continuous quality research is required for tenure. Efforts at obtaining external funding are encouraged. Service to the university, community, and profession is expected, as well as any additional duties assigned by the department chair.

Minimum Education /ExperienceThis appointment requires a PhD in the teaching field or related discipline from an accredited business school that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. The candidate must possess the qualifications necessary to be designated a professionally qualified faculty member in accordance with AACSB standards. Candidates with a newly conferred PhD at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor.
ABD candidates will be considered; they will initially be appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment.
