Continuing and Professional Education Instructional Consultant
Position Summary:
The Office of Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) at East Carolina University seeks short‑term Instructional Consultants (.74 FTE or less) to develop and deliver non‑credit courses. The consultant will coordinate course materials, facilitate content delivery, record attendance and collect evaluation data, and provide course agendas 7 days prior to the start.
Job Location:
East Carolina University, Greenville, NC (may require commuting within North Carolina).
- Develop curriculum and course materials for non‑credit continuing education courses.
- Coordinate and deliver course sessions, ensuring timely distribution of agendas and materials.
- Collect attendance sign‑in sheets and administration evaluation surveys.
- Provide a copy of the course agenda and materials 7 days before the course begins.
- Maintain compliance with CPE policies and deadline requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the course subject matter from an accredited institution.
- Prior experience developing or delivering continuing education or professional development courses is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
- Final candidates are subject to criminal and sex‑offender background checks. Some vacancies may require credit or motor‑vehicle checks.
