Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

The Division of Student Affairs comprises over 30 departments, each responsible for providing various student support, services, and educational programs accessible to the university community. With over 300 full-time employees and over 1200 student workers, the Division supports Pirate success through environments that enhance student development, engagement, belonging, well-being, and career readiness. Primary Purpose of Position

The Career Counselor will advise students on their career aspirations and goals, and counsel on career readiness topics. This position will collaborate across Student Affairs and with Academic units in the delivery of career programs to advance career readiness and assist recent graduates with transition into professional roles. The Counselor will be responsible for promotion of Career Services and work to increase engagement among students, staff, and faculty via workshops and written/virtual materials.
