Math Teacher

GSL Education are recruiting skilled and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to work with fabulous schools in Darlington
. We are seeking qualified educators who can explain mathematical concepts clearly, adapt teaching to different levels of ability, and encourage learners to strengthen their numerical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

As a Maths Teacher
, you will deliver structured and engaging lessons across the Mathematics curriculum, supporting young people in building subject knowledge and preparing effectively for assessments and future study.

• Plan and deliver curriculum-focused Mathematics lessons across relevant key stages
• Explain numerical and abstract concepts using clear methods and practical examples
• Challenge learners through reasoning exercises and problem-solving activities
• Differentiate tasks according to individual abilities and levels of understanding
• Track attainment through classwork, tests, and formal assessments
• Prepare examination groups through targeted revision and focused academic support

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics curriculum
• Previous experience teaching Mathematics at different level
• Ability to communicate complex mathematical ideas in an accessible manner
• Effective planning, assessment, organisation, and classroom management skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
