Program Supervisor – Peer Support Services (PSS)
Pay: $45,000 - 55,000 per year

Position OverviewThe Program Supervisor – Peer Support Services provides day-to-day leadership, supervision, and operational oversight for Peer Support staff and services. This role ensures peer services are delivered in accordance with NC Medicaid requirements, Dixon Social standards, and recovery-oriented best practices.
This is a hands‑on supervisory role that balances staff leadership, documentation oversight, operational execution, and quality compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision and support to Peer Support Specialists and related staff.
- Support onboarding, mentoring, scheduling, and performance development of peer staff.
- Monitor peer documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and Medicaid compliance.
- Ensure services align with individualized service plans and demonstrate medical necessity.
- Participate in Access‑to‑Care processes related to peer referrals and service placement.
- Coordinate with intake, clinical leadership, and care teams to ensure timely service initiation.
- Assist with scheduling, caseload distribution, and service coverage planning.
- Step in to support peer services during staffing shortages, as allowed by role and credentialing.
- Assist with tracking productivity, utilization, and service outcomes.
- Participate in audit preparation, chart reviews, and corrective action processes.
- Promote adherence to ethical, client‑centered, and recovery‑oriented practices.
- Escalate unresolved risks or compliance concerns to leadership.
- Carry a light billable caseload as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- An individual who holds a license, provisional license, certificate, registration, or permit issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession; or
- A graduate of a college or university with a master’s degree in a human service field and one year of full‑time, post‑graduate MH/DD/SA experience; or
- A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a human service field and two years of full‑time, post‑bachelor’s MH/DD/SA experience; or
- A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a non‑human service field and four years of full‑time, post‑bachelor’s MH/DD/SA experience.
- Must meet NC Medicaid requirements for Peer Support supervision or program oversight
- Certified Peer Support Specialist Certification (Required)
- NCI A&B Certification (Required)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (Required)
- Strong knowledge of recovery‑oriented systems of care
- Familiarity with Medicaid documentation and audit processes preferred
Ability to read and write English. Ability to generate clear, compliant documentation in accordance with Medicaid and auditing standards.

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field (Required).
Master’s Degree (Preferred)
- Peer Support or Behavioral Health: 2 years (Required)
- Supervisory or Lead experience: 1‑2 years (Preferred)
