Systems Administrator
Job Description:
At Regions, the Systems Administrator installs, configures, and maintains operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements.
Primary Responsibilities- Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
- Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established Information Technology (IT) policies and procedures
- Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels
- Monitors system software licensing and maintenance agreements
- Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions
- Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
- Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services
- Develops and promotes standard operating procedures
- Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation
- Performs scripting as needed (i.e. Power Shell and Bash)
- Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in a related field or technical training program and four (4) years of related experience
- Or High School Diploma or GED and eight (8) years of related experience
- Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong knowledge of operating systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Monitors and manages UiPath Orchestrator environments, including robot queues, jobs, triggers, and asset configurations
- Troubleshoots and resolves production incidents and bot failures across attended and unattended automations
- Performs root cause analysis on recurring technical bottlenecks or system errors to prevent future failures
- Coordinates with development teams to deploy code patches, updates, and workflow enhancements
- Maintains accurate technical documentation, operational runbooks, and logs of resolved support tickets
- Validates and tests bot performance after infrastructure changes, network updates, or target application modifications
- Escalates complex product-level bugs to UiPath vendor support and track them through resolution
- Experience with SQL / SQL Servers and Azure VMs preferred
Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.
