Join a leading automotive innovation organization in Guilford County, North Carolina supporting an eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) initiative. This program is currently in the fundamental technology research and prototype development phase, moving rapidly into its next stage of growth.

This role is critical in bridging a key gap within the team by bringing strategic, program-level ownership to the supply chain function. This is a highly visible role requiring a balance of hands-on execution and strategic leadership, operating within a fast-paced, startup-like environment inside a larger organization.

• Act as the procurement lead for the eVTOL program
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain strategy across the full program lifecycle
• Provide holistic, program-level status updates to executive leadership
• Serve as the primary escalation point for supply chain and supplier-related issues
• Operate at a "10,000-foot view," ensuring full program visibility rather than siloed ownership of components
• Drive alignment across engineering, procurement, and leadership teams
• Lead procurement activities supporting eVTOL aircraft development in collaboration with Engineering and Program Management
• Drive supplier engagement from early sourcing through contract execution
• Lead contract negotiations to achieve optimal cost, schedule, and quality outcomes
• Manage supplier deliverables, timelines, and performance
• Resolve supplier risks, issues, and escalations, including coordination with legal when necessary
• Develop and execute supply chain strategies supporting transition from R&D to production
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across the supply chain
• Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency and scalability in an evolving environment
• Introduce structure and visibility in a fast-moving, less-defined operational setting
• Support implementation and optimization of tools and systems (e.g., CLM, ERP)

• Mentor and guide existing procurement team members (no direct reports)
• Act as the first-line support and escalation resource for team challenges
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Program Management, and global stakeholders
• Step in across functions as needed, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic, startup-like environment

• 7+ years of experience in Aerospace Procurement / Supply Chain
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• Ability to work with engineering drawings, technical documentation, and supplier requirements
• High-level understanding of aircraft components, and aerospace certifications (e.g., FAA conformity)
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar)
  Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to think strategically at a program level

• Experience in eVTOL, advanced air mobility, or emerging aerospace technologies
• Startup or high-growth environment experience
• Program or project management experience
• Familiarity with Japanese business culture or language
• Experience with Coupa
