Position SummaryThe Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational functions of the company, from procurement and manufacturing through warehousing, logistics, customer support and technical service. This role ensures operational excellence, scalability, inventory controls, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance and exceptional customer service across gaming markets.
The COO will work closely with the leadership team to translate strategic vision into operational execution, building systems, teams and processes that support high-quality, compliant and timely delivery, installation and service of electronic gaming machines.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Culture
- Build, lead and mentor high-performing operations teams across multiple functions.
- Role model and foster the FIGHTER mentality throughout the operations organization.
- Ensure close collaboration and alignment with the Valicy Leadership Team and, in particular, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Product and Sales.
- Establish and monitor KPIs across procurement, manufacturing, logistics and service operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, speed and scalability.
- Build operational infrastructure to support new product launches, market expansion and increased production volumes.
- Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Optimize business process and systems to scale with growth.
- Foster a culture of cost consciousness but not at the expense of customer quality.
- Oversee global sourcing and procurement of components, subassemblies and finished goods.
- Develop strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability and cost competitiveness.
- Mitigate supply chain risk through vendor diversification and inventory planning.
- Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance metrics.
- Lead all manufacturing operations including production planning, scheduling and capacity management.
- Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, safety standards and quality certifications.
- Implement lean manufacturing and process optimization initiatives.
- Oversee quality assurance and defect-reduction programs.
- Instantiate process for and oversee electronic gaming machine refurbishment with focus on quality, cost reduction and waste management.
- Facilitate electronic gaming machine decommissioning.
- Manage warehousing operations, inventory control and demand forecasting.
- Oversee logistics including shipping, regulatory documentation and (if necessary) customs documentation.
- Optimize transportation costs while maintaining on-time and on-quality delivery commitments.
- Ensure secure handling of regulated components.
- Oversee customer support, field service and technical repair operations.
- Ensure high uptime and rapid issue resolution for installed machined; compliance with customer and regulator stipulations for product uptime.
- Develop service SLAs, escalation protocols and training/certification programs for service and support technicians.
- Use customer feedback and service data to inform product and process improvements.
