The Spare Parts Associate is responsible for the organization, inventory control, tracking, and distribution of spare parts supporting manufacturing equipment operations at Boviet Solar. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime by ensuring accurate inventory levels, proper storage conditions, and timely fulfillment of maintenance requests.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inventory & Parts Management- Receive, inspect, and properly store spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP or inventory management systems.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and support full physical inventory audits.
- Label, categorize, and organize parts for easy retrieval and traceability.
- Monitor stock levels and notify leadership when reordering is necessary.
- Issue spare parts to maintenance technicians as requested.
- Track parts usage and document withdrawals accurately.
- Ensure critical spare parts inventory levels are maintained to reduce equipment downtime.
- Support preventive maintenance programs by staging required parts in advance.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Report damaged, incorrect, or missing materials.
- Maintain proper documentation for parts transactions.
- Assist with vendor returns and warranty claims when needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe spare parts storage area.
- Follow all safety, EHS, and plant operational procedures.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive equipment or components.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing support experience preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory systems).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Maintenance, Procurement, and Production teams.
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working in warehouse conditions.
- May require occasional overtime based on production needs.
