The East Carolina University College of Nursing seeks a faculty member with strong expertise in medical-surgical nursing. Responsibilities include planning, teaching, and evaluating primarily face-to-face theory, lab, and clinical courses. The faculty member will teach courses such as advanced medical-surgical nursing, pathophysiology, and/or pharmacology for pre-licensure nursing students. The position may also involve direct supervision of students in clinical and lab settings.

Master’s degree in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution. A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment. Two years of medical-surgical nursing experience is required.

A terminal degree in Nursing is preferred or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing. Recent clinical and teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred. Certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) is also preferred.
