Cardiac Intermediate Unit – Hospitalist & Congestive Heart Failure Consultant.
The Heart Institute at the Hospital seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in its Cardiac Intermediate Unit. The successful candidate will be part of a general medicine hospitalist service and work as an inpatient CHF consultant. An inpatient experience is required. Candidates should be proficient with admissions and discharges and be able to work in a fast‑paced high‑volume environment.
The Heart Institute is one of the top cardiac facilities in the country. The six‑story, 375,000‑square‑foot tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services, and cardiovascular operating rooms. It has 120 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery, and vascular surgery.
The Heart Institute is a unique partnership that includes the Hospital and East Carolina University along with cardiovascular experts in private practice, academic medicine and research. The Institute is the first in North Carolina devoted exclusively to education, research, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
