Physician Assistant / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Cardiac Surgery ICU – ECU Health Physicians, Greenville, NC

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide acute patient care in our Cardiac Surgery ICU. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Employment by ECU Health Physicians
• Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center
• Inpatient only clinical care in a high volume 16‑bed cardiac ICU
• Established team of 8 experienced Advanced Practice Providers and 6 Surgeons
• Work with a nationally recognized cardiothoracic surgery program that performs more than 1,000 pump cases annually
• Clinical responsibilities include performing histories and physical examinations, patient assessments, daily patient rounds with physicians, and facilitation of pre‑operative and post‑operative patient care
• Schedule:
  
  7 12‑hour shifts every 2 weeks with rotating nights and weekends (nocturnist schedule available)
• Procedures: chest tube placement and removal, arterial lines, central lines, Swan‑Ganz catheter, thoracentesis, transvenous pacers, and bronchoscopies
• High level of autonomy
• ACLS certification by the American Heart Association required
