Position: Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Critical Care;Neurology

Description

. This on-site, contract position presents a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic medical practice environment, providing essential care and support to patients with critical neurological conditions.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality patient care while collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in the critical care setting
  • Administer treatments and manage care plans for patients with neurological disorders
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
  • Perform necessary diagnostic tests and interpret the results
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in critical care and neurology
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or relevant field
  • Current NP or PA certification and licensure
  • Previous experience in critical care or neurology preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement

Level I trauma

Schedule:

7a-7p or 7p-7a, specific dates

No call required

Setting: 20-bed NSICU

Patient Census: 20 total per day

Required Procedures:
Arterial and central lines, lumbar punctures, vent management

Will respond to codes

Support Staff:
Neurosurgeons, neurologists, APPs

EMR:
Epic

Must be board-certified

ACLS and BLS required

  • Paid travel & expenses
