About the OpportunityWe are currently seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) for 20-week contract opportunities providing primary and general medical care within healthcare settings throughout North Carolina.
This is a full-time, weekday opportunity offering a consistent 40-hour workweek with day shifts and no regularly scheduled weekends
. Providers will work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team while managing a diverse adult patient population with both acute and chronic medical needs.
This opportunity is a strong fit for providers with backgrounds in Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Community Health, or Correctional Healthcare
.
- Pay Rate: $85/hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 5x8-hour shifts / 40 hours per week
- Provide primary medical care to an adult patient population
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient examinations
- Perform physical assessments and evaluate patient symptoms
- Obtain and review patient medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions
- Develop and monitor patient treatment plans
- Manage chronic medical conditions
- Order and interpret laboratory work and diagnostic testing
- Prescribe and manage medications within applicable scope of practice
- Monitor patient response to treatment and provide follow-up care
- Determine when specialty care, emergency treatment, or additional medical services are necessary
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation - Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team
- Follow established clinical, safety, and facility protocols
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current NP or PA license in North Carolina in good standing, or ability to meet applicable North Carolina licensing requirements
- Appropriate national board certification
- Minimum 1 year of relevant NP or PA clinical experience
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Comfortable treating an adult patient population
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to successfully complete required credentialing and background screening
Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

- Community Health
- Occupational Health
- Chronic Disease Management
- Government or Public-Sector Healthcare
Previous correctional healthcare experience is preferred but not required for providers with a strong primary care or general medicine background.
