ECU Health Physicians and The Outer Banks Health Hospital, located in Nags Head, NC are seeking an Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care trained Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The successful candidate will provide care for newborn infants and/or pediatric patients. Monthly rotations at ECU Health Maynard Children's Hospital in Greenville, NC will be incorporated for high-risk resuscitation skills and competency maintenance.

- 12 (24-hour) call shifts per month
- 16 days off per 28 days

- Clinical responsibilities will include rounding and coordination of care from admission to discharge for all newborn patients, attendance all at high-risk deliveries, and participation in the resuscitation, stabilization, and transfer of critically ill neonates as needed
- Transfer support provided by ECU Health Medical Center
- Neonatal NP or Pediatric NP-AC
- Physician Assistant
- Experience in Newborn or NICU - NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or NC licensure as a Physician Assistant
- National Board Certification as a Neonatal NP, Pediatric NP-AC, or as Physician Assistant required, including maintenance
- 2+ years of experience in health care setting
- Applicants will be required to have BLS certification from The American Heart Association
Outer Banks Health Hospital Outer Banks Health Hospital (OBH) is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is part of the ECU Health system of care and is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season.
Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated cesarean section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.
