Analytical Chemist

Position Summary

Analytical Chemist I. Work schedule Monday–Friday. 100% on‑site in Greenville, NC. The role performs routine analytical testing for pharmaceutical products, following safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain data integrity and good documentation practices during experiments.
• Compare laboratory data against specifications and trend data to determine result compliance.
• Ensure proper usage, care and return of calibration standards, reference materials, timers, thermometers and instrumentation.
• Execute chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods (HPLC, GC, UV‑Vis, IR) for assays, dissolution, moisture, identification and other wet chemistry measurements.
• Enter data into reports or software‑based systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and technical review of chromatographic data.
• Assume any other duties assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences) or an Associate degree with at least one year of professional experience in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry.
• Preferred experience in a Catalent analytical laboratory with proficiency in chromatography, data review and troubleshooting.

• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs unassisted.
• Stand, walk, lift, pull, push, bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach for majority of day.
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals and active ingredients possible.
