Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Off Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Retail Security Supervisor to lead and support our on‑site security team. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and vendors while delivering excellent customer service and strong team leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift Leads
- Manage performance, including coaching and corrective actions when needed
- Assist with hiring, training, and ongoing development of staff
- Ensure proper scheduling, coverage, and accurate timekeeping
- Oversee daily security operations and ensure compliance with post orders and company policies
- Conduct site patrols and inspections to maintain safety standards
- Ensure reports, logs, and documentation are completed accurately and on time
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms; coordinate with local authorities as needed
- Monitor and support the use of security systems (CCTV, alarms, fire panels, access control, elevators)
- Ensure all equipment and company vehicles are maintained and functioning properly
- Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and enforce safety protocols
- Build strong relationships with mall management, tenants, and local police/fire departments
- Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding team and site performance
- Provide excellent customer service through professional interactions with all visitors
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Prior security experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practices
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security licenses or certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable using security systems and standard office equipment
- Reliable, adaptable, and detail‑oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse groups
This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring time spent both supervising staff and actively participating in security operations, including patrols and incident response.
