Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $36.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Sat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Qualifications:

• Be at least 21 years of age; you must be an active police officer not retired.
• High School Diploma or GED, Police , VPEC, and firearm certification.
• North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement certification is required.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Attend required periodic training sessions and seminars, maintain required level of proficiency in the use of firearms.
• Able to:
• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat.
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
• Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general law enforcement duties including patrolling hospital campus, checking property, conducting room searches, maintaining order and public safety.
• Issue traffic and parking citations; apprehend, question and arrest suspects; collect and preserve evidence; conduct investigations; respond to and assist in all medical emergencies; assist in conducting fire drills and evacuating buildings; provide security escorts for personnel; and chauffeur division heads and visitors as requested.
• Attend required periodic training sessions and seminars; maintain required level of proficiency in the use of firearms.
• Perform other duties as required to meet the client’s needs.
