- Lead complex engineering initiatives within assigned technology domains
- Design, develop, test, and implement applications, services, and system components using modern software engineering practices
- Ensure platform reliability through monitoring, observability, and proactive risk mitigation
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and reduce operational cost
- Resolve complex coding, testing, and production issues
- Lead teams to ensure compliance, security, and risk management requirements are met
- Partner with risk, governance, and control stakeholders to implement key initiatives
- Mentor and coach software engineers and promote engineering best practices
- Collaborate with and influence peers, managers, and cross‑functional partners
- Partner with production support and platform engineering teams to ensure operational stability
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience building enterprise‑scale backend systems using Java and modern backend frameworks and architectures, such as Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems
- 3+ years of experience with event‑driven architecture, such as Apache Kafka or Confluent platforms
- 2+ years of experience deploying and running applications on container platforms such as Kubernetes or Open Shift
- 2+ years of experience working with both relational and No
SQL databases such as SQL Server or MongoDB - Experience building or integrating Generative AI‑enabled solutions, including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation and agentic workflows
- Experience in enterprise or solution architecture
- Experience working with AI MCPs and agents
- Experience applying Domain Driven Design principles
- Hands‑on experience with GenAI developer tools such as Git Hub Copilot
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and enterprise‑grade agentic workflows
- Experience integrating large language models and APIs, including RESTful API design
- Experience working in Agile software development environments using tools such as Git Hub, Jira, Jenkins, and Confluence
- Experience with React.js or other modern frontend frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
