Software Engineer – Workflow, Ontology Developer

• Design and develop governed low-code applications, workflow components, forms, work queues, business rules, notifications and operational dashboards for Brokerage and Trust
• Model end-to-end workflows covering intake, validation, classification, routing, prioritization, assignment, service levels, approvals, exception handling, escalation, completion, and closure
• Design ontology objects, properties, relationships, actions, and lifecycle states for Wealth business concepts
• Use Python for data transformation, validation, enrichment, rule execution, reconciliation, automation, testing utilities and supporting services
• Integrate workflow and ontology solutions with .NET/C# services, SQL Server, Azure PaaS, APIs, messaging, SFTP, vendor platforms and enterprise data sources
• Implement fine-grained access controls, entitlements, segregation of duties, data masking, approval authority and action permissions
• Create auditable processing with state transitions, decision rationale, timestamps, ownership, source references, evidence and immutable history
• Build reusable components, ontology patterns, workflow templates and engineering standards
• Develop automated tests and support repeatable deployment and environment promotion
• Instrument applications and workflows with logging, metrics, queue ageing, throughput, exception, service-level and control-breach monitoring
• Create operational runbooks and support documentation
• Partner with product, operations, data owners, risk partners and subject-matter experts
• Assess when low code is appropriate versus professionally coded .NET/C#, Python or Azure services
• Troubleshoot production issues, complete root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Lead design and code reviews, mentor junior engineers and contribute to Wealth Technology governance

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and training
• In-depth knowledge of information systems
• Ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
• Professional low-code application, workflow, and automation delivery with ALM, reusable components, testing, support, and governance
• Knowledge of workflow and casework concepts including process states, work queues, assignment, SLAs, approvals, escalations, exceptions, human tasks, controls, evidence, and operational measurement
• Ontology modelling knowledge covering business objects, properties, relationships, actions, lifecycle states, semantics, lineage, permissions, and reuse
• Production-quality Python development, including transformation, validation, enrichment, automation, rules, services, testing, packaging, logging, security, and maintainability
• SQL Server and relational data knowledge, including querying, data quality, reconciliation, authoritative sources, and integrations
• Ability to build or collaborate on .NET/C# APIs and services
• Microsoft Azure knowledge, including identity, PaaS, APIs, messaging, secrets, monitoring, storage, and deployment
• Integration experience with APIs, messaging, batch, and SFTP interfaces
• Knowledge of role- and attribute-based access, action permissions, segregation of duties, sensitive-data handling, audit history, and evidence generation
• Knowledge of Brokerage and Trust concepts
• English language fluency required

Demonstrates expertise in designing and developing low-code applications and workflows, with a strong focus on Python development, SQL Server integration, and Microsoft Azure services. Proficient in ontology modeling and implementing IT best practices for operational governance and automation.
