Infrastructure Automation Engineering Manager

• Build, lead, and grow a team of automation engineers delivering production-grade infrastructure automation in a regulated financial services environment
• Oversee the health, growth, and performance of engineers and the reliability of shipped solutions across on-premises environments
• Manage and direct a software engineering team and oversee day-to-day operations
• Plan, prioritize, and allocate resources to meet operational goals and project deadlines
• Develop and enforce software engineering standards, best practices, and governance
• Collaborate with architecture, analytics, security, and other cross-functional teams
• Oversee the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications
• Mentor and coach team members on technical skills, career growth, and performance
• Review and approve technical designs, code, and documentation
• Identify and mitigate software development and delivery risks
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies
• Communicate team progress, challenges, and achievements to senior management and stakeholders
• Support infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, orchestration workflows, self-service platform services, automated testing, policy-as-code controls, compliance automation, operational governance, and engineering reliability initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including team leadership or supervisory responsibilities
• Experience delivering in a regulated industry preferred
• Experience with globally distributed engineering teams preferred
• Hiring and performance management fundamentals preferred
• Agile delivery management preferred
• Strong written communication preferred
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible preferred
• Python or Power Shell scripting preferred
• Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines preferred
• Experience with Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, Jenkins, or Azure Dev Ops preferred
• Working knowledge of hybrid infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or GCP and on-premises virtualization preferred
• Understanding of policy-as-code and secrets management preferred
• Familiarity with orchestration and ITSM integration preferred
• Understanding of LLM-assisted and agentic automation in production preferred
• Experience managing or shipping an AI-assisted capability through production preferred
• Fluency with AI governance concepts, including NIST AI RMF and model risk management basics, preferred
• Experience standing up or scaling a team in a Global Capability Center or offshore engineering hub preferred
• Prior Lead- or Staff-level individual contributor experience in automation or platform engineering preferred
• Experience delivering an internal developer platform or self-service portal preferred
• Experience with NIST CSF 2.0 or FFIEC IT Examination Handbooks preferred
• AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Hashi Corp certifications preferred
• Formal management or leadership training preferred
• Experience partnering in a product operating model preferred
• English language fluency required
