ECU Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is currently hiring several Swim Instructors. Swim Instructors will deliver engaging swim lessons to participants of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and positive aquatic learning environment.

• Teach structured swim lessons to various groups, including children, adolescents, and adults.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to participant skill levels and learning objectives.
• Provide constructive feedback and positive reinforcement to enhance participants' swimming skills.
• Ensure participant safety throughout lessons and maintain open communication with participants and guardians.
• Document participants' progress and provide recommendations for continued skill development.
• Support the promotion and registration processes for swim programs.
• Deliver excellent customer service and foster a welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

• Must have valid Water Safety Instructor certification or relevant experience teaching swim lessons.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Availability for flexible scheduling including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous swim instruction experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with various participants and families.
