Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Orthopedic Surgery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing orthopedic surgeries, ensuring optimal outcomes through preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative support. Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain patient safety and quality care standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms with appropriate instruments and supplies for joint replacement procedures.
• Assist surgeons by scrubbing in and circulating during surgeries, maintaining sterile techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition throughout surgical procedures.
• Document all operative details and patient responses accurately.
• Participate in call rotation to provide on-call support for emergency surgeries.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards throughout patient care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current state license to practice.
• Proven OR (Operating Room) nursing experience, with orthopedic or joint replacement background preferred.
• Ability to scrub and circulate effectively during surgeries.
• Flexibility to work 4-10 hour shifts, including the ability to participate in call rotation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
