SUMMARY
Perform a variety of general, mechanical and preventive maintenance as wellas construct, repair, inspect, service and overhaul of equipment and buildings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESNote:
Other duties may be assigned
- Construct, repair and maintain wooden structuresof the building using hand and power tools as needed.
- Maintain, repair and install electrical system sand equipment as directed.
- Install, repair and replace pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas and drainage systems as directed. Check to insure allventilation systems are working properly and that all required fire dampers arein place.
- Perform masonry work – concrete work inside and outside, plastering/dry wall and other related assignments.
- Apply paint, varnish, stain and other furnishesand wallpapers to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces and equipment as assigned.
- Maintain and repair refrigeration, cooling, air conditioning systems and equipment as directed.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED). Three or more years previous experience ingeneral maintenance work desired.
Ability to analyze and determine cause of system malfunctions and make necessary repairs desired.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units ofmeasure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally help lift and/ormove up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequentlyexposed to wet and/r humid conditions.
The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high,precarious places; fumes and airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals;outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electricalshock; explosives; and vibration. Thenoise level in the work environment is usually quiet, but may occasionally beexposed to loud noises.
