Job Description

Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately‑held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Founded in 1858, Hajoca operates on principles of Service, Integrity, Reliability, and strong relationships with teammates, customers, and suppliers.

Although Hajoca is a large company, each location – called a Profit Center (PC) – is run like a small business by its Profit Center Manager. At the PC you will work as part of a team that handles warehouse, counter, sales office, and showroom operations, using unique trade names and customized approaches to meet local marketplace needs.

About the Role

We are looking for a Delivery Driver Non CDL to work at our Greenville, OH location. The position requires friendly customer service, strong attention to detail, safety focus, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities
  • Operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Delivery destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, and other wholesalers or directed locations.
  • Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered and secure the load to prevent shifting, damage, or falling.
  • Ensure necessary unloading equipment is available and secure shipping documents and accurate directions to each destination.
  • Review shipping documentation to confirm order accuracy.
  • Unload correct merchandise, place it as requested by the receiving party, and obtain a legible signature for all delivered items per company policy.
  • Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash‑sale deliveries before releasing material to the customer.
  • Work with customers at delivery sites to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
  • Load the truck at other locations with merchandise, including items picked up from vendor locations, returned by customers, or purchased from other wholesalers.
  • Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses encountered during deliveries.
  • Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure; keep the truck clean of debris in cab and body.
  • Advise management of any mechanical problems with the truck. Complete the Driver’s Daily Vehicle Inspection Report if a defect or deficiency is found for vehicles 10,001 lbs. or more.
  • At day’s end, remove keys from the truck and store them in the approved location.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and management.
Qualifications
  • Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
  • Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with company policy.
  • Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed for this role.

  • Remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, or emergency situations.
  • Learn to operate warehouse material‑handling equipment.
  • Learn and operate the computer‐related systems used in the delivery process.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Perform basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
