About Hodge FoundryFounded in 1876, Hodge Foundry has served the community for over 145 years. We specialize in highly engineered complex grey and ductile iron castings, and we are the only foundry in North America capable of casting parts from 60,000 to 200,000 pounds. We supply castings for mining, power generation, gas compression, heavy industrial equipment, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities- Perform maintenance/repair of foundry equipment and property
- Assist operators in starting equipment as necessary
- Install new equipment and fabricate equipment for foundry production needs as required
- Follow work instructions and quality requirements
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment, clean and lubricate machinery
- Complete maintenance work orders
- Observe safety requirements, lifting guidelines, chain/sling lifting requirements
- Wear protective equipment as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Skilled in many trades: industrial electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, mechanics, masonry, and concreting
- Strong mechanical reasoning skills
- Ability to read blueprints, manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings
- Innovative and safety conscious, protecting self and fellow workers
Maintenance apprentices must complete 8,000 hours of on‑the‑job training over a four‑year period and complete required related technical instruction courses to achieve Journeyman Maintenance status.
