Senior Accounting Manager

• Provide day‑to‑day direction, guidance, and support to Staff Accountants while overseeing assigned accounting activities.
• Ensure financial activity is recorded accurately and aligns with U.S. GAAP and company standards.
• Lead monthly close tasks including ledger reconciliations, accrual preparation, and journal entry completion.
• Prepare and review internal and external financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow summaries.
• Support specialized functions such as inventory activities, RINs or Treasury tasks as needed.
• Review data trends and identify opportunities to improve controls, strengthen processes, and enhance efficiency.
• Analyze financial results and provide insight or clarification for internal inquiries.
• Assist with federal, state, and local tax requirements and related compliance responsibilities.
• Compare and reconcile data elements within sales or vendor agreements as necessary.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field, with advanced study (such as a master’s degree) considered a strong advantage.
• 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort navigating financial systems or ERP tools.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience is strongly valued.
• CPA designation preferred, or significant progress toward certification.
• Familiarity with Quick Books, fixed asset tracking, or industry‑specific environments (such as petroleum) is a plus.
