Accounting Manager

We're partnering with a growing, German-owned manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead and build the company's U.S. accounting function.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building accounting functions, improving processes, and remaining actively involved in the day-to-day accounting operations. Rather than stepping into a large, established accounting department, you'll have the opportunity to build processes, improve operations, and help create an in-house accounting team as the company continues to expand.

As the accounting leader for the U.S. operation, you'll oversee the day-to-day accounting function while helping develop the long-term strategy for Finance.

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, cash flow reporting, and management reporting.
• Lead inventory and cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Partner with an outsourced accounting provider while helping transition accounting responsibilities in-house over time.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and establish scalable accounting procedures.
• Oversee cash management, AP/AR, banking relationships, and financial operations.
• Provide high-level oversight of payroll, employee benefits, insurance, and other administrative functions.
• Serve as the ERP and accounting systems leader while identifying opportunities to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with leadership in both the U.S. and Germany to support continued business growth.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, inventory, and cost accounting.
• Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prior leadership experience, even if leading a small team.
• ERP experience (SAP a plus, but not required).
