Greenville Automotive Body Shop is currently looking to add a body shop estimator to estimate automotive body repairs by ascertaining body damage; developing estimates; preparing work orders; contacting insurance companies while maintaining customer rapport.

• Estimating, planning, analyzing information, reporting research results, data center experience, strategic planning, attention to detail, informing others, requirements analysis, customer service, and safety management.
• Ascertains automotive body damage by conducting inspections and examinations.
• Develops estimates by costing parts, supplies, and labor; calculating customer s payment, including deductibles.
• Obtains insurance estimates by contacting insurance companies; reviewing damage estimates with the insurance adjuster; resolving repair and replacement requirements.
• Prepares work orders (WO) by describing repair and replacement services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering WO into the work management system.
• Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging temporary transportation.
• Maintains body shop records by recording repair and replacement actions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers  publications.
• Enhances body shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Ability to estimate, plan, analyze information, report research results, manage data, perform strategic planning, maintain attention to detail, inform others, conduct requirements analysis, provide customer service, and oversee safety management.
• Experience in ascertaining automotive body damage through inspections and examinations.
• Ability to develop estimates by costing parts, supplies, and labor; calculating customer payments, including deductibles.
• Experience obtaining insurance estimates by contacting insurance companies; reviewing damage estimates with insurance adjusters; resolving repair and replacement requirements.
• Experience preparing work orders by describing repair and replacement services; obtaining approvals; entering work orders into a management system.
• Ability to maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and vehicle return timelines; handling inquiries and coordinating temporary transportation.
• Experience maintaining body shop records of repair and replacement actions.
• Commitment to ongoing learning through educational opportunities and reading manufacturers  publications.
• Willingness to accept new requests and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
